About Our Archive and Collection

Jim Tamposi Sr. (right) is part of a delegation from Nashua’s Boire Field donating a recovered sign from H & H Airways, which operated in the Gate City in the 1950s through the 1960s.

The Aviation Museum of N.H. actively collects and preserves artifacts and documents related to the history of aviation in New Hampshire and the region.

Our collection is managed and maintained by a team of dedicated volunteers.

All donations are reviewed by an acquisitions committee prior to acceptance.

We are especially interested in any items related to Grenier Air Base (1941-1966) in Manchester, N.H. and Boston-based Northeast Airlines (1933-1972).

We are also interested in artifacts, documents, and photos of any Granite State resident who had experience in military aviation in any branch of the U.S. armed forces.

Please note that for reasons of space, we are unable to accept donations of model airplanes, radio-controlled aircraft, recent periodicals, crash debris, or other items without provenance or which do not fit our acquisition guidelines.

Our collection and library are open to researchers on an appointment basis.

To make an appointment, contact our archive office at (603) 669-4820 ext. 406.
