Buy a Brick

Leah Dearborn, the Aviation Museum’s assistant director, installs a memorial brick in honor of Richard Sears, father of longtime museum volunteer/docent Ken Sears.

The walkway leading to the Aviation Museum of N.H. is lined with bricks, many of which carry inscriptions honoring the memory of relatives, friends, or famous aviators.

The memorial bricks were first made available as a fund-raiser in the Aviation Museum’s early days. Today, they continue to be offered to those wishing to create a lasting tribute.

Each brick is limited to three lines of text, with generally no more than 15 characters/spaces on each line. All bricks are in the same font and all capital letters to ensure unity.

No artwork, logos, or commercial messages are permitted. The engraving is done under contract to the Aviation Museum by a local business.

The lead time to prepare and engrave a brick prior to installation can vary depending on the time of year, but is generally one to three months.

Outside of the winter season, we’re happy to schedule an installation ceremony such as the one depicted above. We’re happy to let you choose exactly where you’d like your brick to be located.

The cost to engrave and install a brick is $250. We’re happy to engrave multiple bricks at one time and place them together, subject to available space.
