Planned Giving / Estate Planning

Create a legacy that helps the next generation find their wings

How will you be remembered? Consider making a contribution that will make a lasting and substantial difference in your local community and in the lives of young people. As a non-profit organization, the Aviation Museum of N.H. welcomes inquiries about estate planning and accepts donations from wills and revocable trusts. We are also able to receive gifts of appreciated stock, charitable gift annuities, and distributions from donor-advised funds (DAFs).

Gifts can be a designated dollar amount, the percentage of an estate, or “the residual” amount remaining in the estate after all other obligations and payments have been made.

If you are interested in leaving a gift to the Aviation Museum of N.H. in your will or trust, please make sure to speak with your attorney. You may wish to provide your attorney with this sample language:

“I hereby give and bequeath ______ (dollar amount, or percentage of my estate, or residual of my estate after other bequests) to the New Hampshire Aviation Historical Society, D/B/A Aviation Museum of New Hampshire, 27 Navigator Rd., Londonderry New Hampshire, 03053, for its general purposes.”

If you are 72 or older, you may wish to consider us as part of your plan for your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from your IRA, SIMPLE IRA, SEP IRA, or retirement plan account. Ask your financial advisor or retirement account trustee for additional information about adding the Aviation Museum of New Hampshire as a beneficiary or making a tax-free Qualified Charitable Distribution.

To have a conversation about planned giving, estate planning, or related issues, contact Executive Director Jeff Rapsis at (603) 669-4820 ext. 401, or by email at jrapsis@nhahs.org. Please note that the Aviation Museum of New Hampshire cannot offer legal or tax advice.
